David is a qualified Osteopath, Neuromuscular and Physical Therapist and Orthopedic Sports Massage Therapist and has been in private practice since 2003.
He has been working with sportspeople of all ages and the general public. He aims to get all of his clients back to full and safe functioning in as short a time period as possible.
As well as amateur sports people, David has worked with 2 Olympic athletes, elite Irish club runners, Irish and International professional triathletes, Professional Golfers, many inter-county GAA players and International rugby players.
In addition to the sports people that David has worked with, an increasing number of his patients are from a non-sporting background with a number of his patients being in their advancing years.
Clients ailments range from Chronic Low Back Pain, Fibromyalgia, arthritis, nerve pain, shoulder pain, whiplash, neck pain, disc related injuries, overuse injury and other posture related ailments.
While attending the HDip in NMT course David also undertook the course in Frequency Specific Microcurrent ( FSM ) with Dr. Carol McMakim in Dublin and has since attended a number of advanced training courses and the teacher-training course in the US. This is a superb modality and has shown amazing results in reducing inflammation up to 62% in one controlled study and reducing healing time from acute and chronic conditions very significantly. It is also extremely effective in treating the very painful condition of Shingles.
David tutored the ITEC Sports massage course in Athlone and has been engaged on a number of speaking appearances on general health and well being. He also represented Ireland in the age group category in the European Triathlon Championships in 2010 and completed an Ironman Triathlon race in 2011 as well as numerous marathons.
